The next quarterly meeting for SFO RAFA will be Thursday, November 13, 2014. We'd like to begin promptly at 1030.

Location: The IAM Hall, 1511 Rollins Road, Burlingame, California.

A short business meeting will be followed by our world-famous, self-catered, pot-luck luncheon where RAFA members contribute their favorite dish, often from world-wide travels.

Our speaker will be RAFA member V. Diane Robertson who will speak on the "Ombudsman" program of the State of California Department of Aging (www.aging.ca.gov).

Diane was elected to the MEC chairperson/president position, the Flight Attendants' highest union office at United Airlines, three times during the decades from 1961 to her retirement in 1998. She was a System Board Member several terms during the decades from 1960 to the 21st century. She was a Negotiations Committee Member for the 1969 Agreement and as the UAL MEC Chairperson/President you will find her signature(s) on agreements in 1975 and 1981 and 1990. One of her gifts to the Flight Attendants is a work entitled "Your Rights as an Employee."

Since retirement Diane has often reviewed system board cases and volunteered her expertise to help reach solutions. Diane, in 2003, was one of the first signers of the retiree organizing chapter that became the Retiree Association of Flight Attendants (RAFA). She remains an active member of RAFA.
